Our History

When you want your shrubs trimmed and lawn mowed, feel free to call a gardening landscaper. But when you want to grow food, you need an established, experienced, and professional urban farming company.

groOrganic Gardeners are committed to an organic lifestyle while educating others about the importance of growing and preparing real food.

Karen Cancilla, mother of six children and grandmother to nine, was concerned about the health and welfare of her family and community. After over 20 years of medical treatment and many misdiagnoses, Karen found that an all organic diet solved many of the symptoms associated with her food allergies and sensitivities. The joint pain she had lived with for years vanished. Combining her knowledge of organic gardening with the entrepreneurism she created groOrganic Gardens. Karen developed a successful system that helps people to grow their own small scale organic garden and speaks to groups as often as possible, spreading her organic message. Now because of groOrganic Gardens' Franchisees, many are learning to grow food throughout the country! If you are passionate about growing food, maybe you should think about becoming a Franchise Owner

Karen has made her urban farming message clear by appearing on various TV, radio, internet shows, and national and international publications including NBC's Access Hollywood, The Biggest Loser, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood, Entrepreneur Magazine, as well as several nationally acclaimed best selling books

It's been our honor to create food producing gardens for many health and educational facilities. Our gardens are so beautiful they have appeared on TV shows and commercials.
